How Much Does Couch Removal Cost?
Understand seat pricing, the pickup minimum, and small, regular, and large chaise charges—with worked examples.
Start with seats, not a truck-load guess
ByeByeCouch prices couch removal at $50 per seat, with a $119 minimum for the complete pickup. That gives you a starting point you can count before opening the booking flow. A seat means a seating position, not necessarily a separate cushion: a sofa with one long bench cushion may still have three seating positions. Count each couch on its own. If you have two different sofas, add two items rather than entering one combined couch.
How the minimum works
First add up every seat and any chaise charges. Then compare the result with the $119 minimum. The higher amount is your base pickup price, before reclining, sofa-bed, stairs, and long-carry charges. A one-seat item is $50 before the minimum, so the pickup total is $119. A two-seat couch is $100 before the minimum and also totals $119. A three-seat couch is $150, so the minimum does not change it. The minimum is applied once per pickup, not once per couch.
What a chaise adds
The chaise selector has four choices: none, small, regular, and large. Small adds $40, regular adds $60, and large adds $80. Include the chaise seating position in the seat count; the selected chaise amount is an additional charge. A three-seat couch with a small chaise is $150 plus $40, or $190. A five-seat sectional with a regular chaise is $225 plus $60, or $310. If you are unsure about the size, describe the chaise in your notes rather than inventing dimensions.
Examples for more than one couch
Two three-seat couches total six seats: $300 with no chaise additions. If one of those couches has a large chaise, the total becomes $350. A three-seat couch and a five-seat sectional with a regular chaise total eight seats, or $360, plus $60: $420. Their controls stay independent, so changing the second couch never changes the first one’s seat count.
Review the request before texting
The review screen shows the furniture selections and combined total. Check each chaise size, the pickup address, and the access location. Use the notes field for stairs, elevators, unusual access, or anything else that needs attention. The calculation is useful for planning, but selecting a preferred date is not a confirmed appointment. Sending the prepared text submits your pickup request; no payment is collected in this flow.
Furniture and access charges
Reclining furniture adds $35 per couch, and a sofa bed adds $35 per couch. Both apply if both are selected. A standalone recliner can be entered as one seat with Reclining turned on. Stairs add $25 per pickup, and a carry farther than 120 feet adds $25 per pickup. First apply the $119 minimum to the seats and chaise subtotal, then add these handling charges. The review and saved request show your selections and final total.
Avoid these common counting mistakes
Do not count removable cushions as extra furniture, duplicate the same sectional as two couches, or forget a chaise seating position. On the other hand, a truly separate couch should get its own item. If you spot a mistake at review, use Edit to return to that part of the request. Your other selections remain available while you make the correction.
